13 Pictures of Princesses

Thirteen pics, three looks, two princesses....

Legacy Day Apple working Frankie's Picture Day look.

I consider this outfit a sort of MH instant classic, and Apple definitely does it justice!

Strike that pose, Apple!

Next is Legacy Day Briar decked out in Lagoona's Dot Dead Gorgeous dress. I've always loved this dress (it's surprisingly versatile), and the pink skirt matches Briar's streaks perfectly. I'm really digging it on her.

Just my opinion, but Legacy Day Briar is a big step up from her signature doll. The hairstyle is more polished, the faceup more striking, and the general vibe just a tad more "Briar", if you get what I'm saying.

I like that Briar was able to wear her own accessories and still match Lagoona's dress. When I dressed her I chose not to include her necklace because I wanted to emphasize her tan skin; in hindsight I probably should've included it. Regardless, I think she looks great here! I like this doll quite a bit.

You might have already seen signature Apple in Frankie's School's Out outfit over on the main blog, but I was so taken with the look I decided to get her outside for some better shots. So here she is again!

I've said it before and I'm gonna say it again: signature Apple is pretty much the perfect doll.

As always, thanks for looking! Hope you enjoyed today's look at the princesses in MH couture!

Review to come on the main blog, but as always you guys get the sneak peak!

So I saw The Great Gatsby over the weekend and have fallen in love with Lana Del Rey's Young and Beautiful, which was used to great effect in the film. Here's the orchestral version of the song. So lush, nostalgic, romantic...

Picturing Lagoona and Operetta

Although I haven't gotten to write my Picture Day Lagoona review yet, I have taken all the pics and gotten a few of them edited. But I'm too excited to wait for the review to share the pics, so here's a teaser of sorts for the upcoming review. One quick thought on PD Lagoona: she may be the first Lagoona doll I'd say isn't just pretty, but downright hawt! Take a look...

This being me, it didn't take long for clothes swaps to ensue. I kept PD Lagoona's mesh shrug and sparkling tights on her, but paired them with Scaris Lagoona's tank dress. (It's such a simple dress but I love it so much!) I threw in Catrine's sunglasses, Roadster Draculaura's shoes, DDG Ghoulia's purse, and a few small accessories, and Lagoona was good to go! I think the sunglasses and tousled hair give her a sort of "Hollywood starlet leaving the club at 4 AM" vibe.

Since the PD doll wasn't wearing her dress I put it on Scaris Lagoona -- I think she might look even better in it than the PD doll does! The ponytail matches the whimsical vibe of the dress really well, in my opinion.

How about some Operetta? Every time I get a new doll of her I always end up grouping her dolls together and swapping clothes. This time not everyone traded outfits but they all got together for a few group shots. I especially love Picture Day Operetta in the deluxe fashion pack dress!

Keep an eye out for the PD Lagoona review over at the main blog-- it's coming soon! Oh, and don't forget to vote in the Operetta poll!

Til next time!
